Job Overview
HDR is seeking a qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to support natural gas and renewable energy generation projects and serve as Owner’s Engineer and/or Advisor.
Responsibilities- Lead teams for utility‑scale power generation design projects, including traditional Owner’s Engineering roles.
- Design power generation and distribution systems, protection and motor control, power system studies, construction and equipment specification development.
- Develop balance‑of‑plant designs such as raceway, lighting, and grounding systems.
- Mentor junior engineers, manage client relationships, and lead marketing activities including proposal technical writing, fee builds, and work breakdown structure development.
- Perform design and engineer‑of‑record work for power plant systems.
- Coordinate project reviews with Project Manager, Project Controller, and management.
- Act as a mentor to other staff members as needed.
