PCB Integration Engineer
We are seeking a full-time PCB Integration Engineer at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for furthering the PCB and FPC technologies and their adoption inside Garmin. This role serves as the technical bridge between product design teams and PCB suppliers to ensure PCB technologies are properly integrated, validated, optimized, and manufacturable.
Essential functions include PCB bring up and integration, supplier technical interface, system design collaboration, validation and production support.
Basic qualifications include a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics or another related degree and a minimum of five years of relevant work experience. Demonstrated expertise in the architecture, integration, validation and troubleshooting of at least one hardware component technology domain is required. Experience characterizing component performance across operating conditions to ensure technical and business requirements are met is also necessary.
Knowledge of power, thermal, and signal integrity considerations and their impact on component and system performance is required. Proven ability to work across electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, quality, supplier, and program teams is essential. Experience providing supplier technical leadership to improve product quality, performance, manufacturability, and innovation is desired. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and influence skills are required.
