General Responsibilities:

As our Tax Analyst you'll help keep us compliant, efficient and ahead of the curve. The role has a flexible schedule and will by hybrid/remote. Responsible for supporting the organization's tax function by researching tax planning strategies, assisting with compliance through the preparation and filing of tax returns, and reporting to ensure accurate financial statements. Your insights directly help save money and avoid IRS love letters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Tax Planning and Strategy:

* Assist with researching tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize tax positions (meals and entertainment study, research and development study, wage credits, etc).

* Assist with tax calculations for acquisitions (338(h)(10) elections, etc.)

* Research and analyze tax regulations, legislation and summarize findings and recommendations for management.

Tax Compliance:

* Assist with preparation of work papers for federal, state and local income/franchise tax returns

* Assist with tax audits and developing responses to tax authorities.

* Responsible for filing sales/use tax returns.

* Responsible for filing of personal property tax returns or management of outsourced property tax returns.

* Responsible for the unclaimed property process.

* Responsible for US Census Bureau reporting.

Tax Reporting:

* Assist with preparation of tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements.

* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting.

* Follows safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participates in pre-task planning. Reports any safety issues or concerns to management.

* Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting with tax emphasis with a minimum of 3 years tax experience.

* Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and Reporting Standards.

* Ability to research and recommend solutions from technical pronouncements for the IRS and other federal and state authoritative sources

* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

* Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Solid written and verbal communication skills.

* Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.

Preferred Certification:

* CPA

Maximum Salary: 100100

Minimum Salary: 64600
