The Department of Health and Environment is currently recruiting for an Immunization Program Manager. This position is responsible for managing, promoting, and ensuring the operation of effective and efficient immunization programs and works collaboratively across the department to maximize service delivery in support of the division's mission.

Duties include:
- Ensures effective and efficient Immunization Program, including appropriate hiring, training, scheduling, monitoring and evaluating employees, assuring adequate vaccine supply and educational handouts; encourages staff to participate in continuing education activities and provides education to peers and other agencies.
- Manages the development/revision of appropriate vaccine standing orders; coordinates the annual revision/evaluation of vaccine standing orders, disseminates information to clients, the public and private/public agencies; interprets regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborates with various internal and external departments and agencies including KDHE and local health departments.
- In collaboration with Division Director monitors program budget, both county and grant, to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Oversees inventory monitoring for clinic efficiency in coordination with clinic team;
Oversees appropriate staffing for clinic efficiency; recruits, hires, and trains staff for the program; provides coaching to ensure professional development of staff; assists in offering direct patient care in clinic and community health events.
High school or equivalent and a Vocational, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other Nursing program that meets the requirements for the Registered Nurse license and licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Kansas is required.
Four (4) years of experience as a registered nurse, including one (1) year of public health or community health center experience is required.
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required.
Two (2) years leading, directing, supervising, or coordinating the work of others preferred.
Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
