Specimen Accessioner

Labcorp is a leader in diagnostics, drug development and healthcare innovation. In the Specimen Processing and Accessioning team based in Overland Park, KS, you will harness data and AI to work smarter, move faster and create breakthrough solutions that improve health outcomes.

Work Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, 10:00PM – 06:30AM. Employees may average between 42‑50 hours per week depending on volume and absences. Mandatory Saturday or Sunday rotation occurs every 5‑6 weeks with weekend shift typically 4‑6hours.

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Resolve and document any problem specimens.

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (Minimum).
• Current or prior Labcorp experience (Preferred).

• Comfortable handling biological specimens.
• Accurately identify specimens.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to lift up to 40lb.
• Able to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
