Patient Care Technician ​/ Certified Nursing Assistant - Multiple Units

Role Overview

This full-time Night Patient Care Tech or Certified Nurse Aide provides direct patient care and technical support under nurse supervision across multiple units. Responsibilities include preparing for admissions, transfers, and discharges; maintaining a safe environment; documenting vital signs, hygiene, specimen collection, and assistance with patient activities. The role involves effective communication, timely response to patient needs, managing technology accurately, and contributing to individualized care plans with a focus on patient safety.

• High school diploma or GED; current enrollment is acceptable.
• Hold a CNA license, completed intern program, or relevant patient care experience (minimum 18 months).
• Must obtain BLS certification within 14 days.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to stay calm in stressful situations and work independently with limited supervision.

Perform clinical and non-clinical tasks, assist with patient hygiene and vital signs, respond promptly to call lights, accurately document data, manage supplies, and support the care team in achieving patient safety goals through monitoring and patient education. Other duties may be assigned based on departmental needs.
