Contract - Therapist (Full Time)
Location: Olathe, KS
Provided contracted clinical services to individuals and families through the outpatient department of KidsTLC, the Lotus Clinics. Tasks and competencies will include the ability to assess, diagnose and treat mental health concerns as defined in the DSM-5-TR. The settings in which services are offered may include the Lotus Clinics on the KidsTLC campus, contracted school, or other clinical settings, or by request in the homes of the client individual or family.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe following duties are typical for this position. They are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Provide excellent and consistent clinical care for individuals and families served by the Lotus Clinics of KidsTLC.
- To document provided services quickly and accurately using the Electronic Health Record in use by KidsTLC, including prescribed treatment and discharge plans accomplished on the mandated schedule.
- To be conversant and committed to developing proficiency (following training) in the treatment philosophy espoused by KidsTLC.
There are no supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience- Master’s degree or higher in professional counseling, marriage and family therapy, social work, or clinical psychology is required.
- Currently licensed by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board, or the Missouri Division of Professional Registration in professional counseling (LPC, LCPC), marriage and family therapy (LMFT, LCMFT), social work (LMSW, LSCSW), or clinical psychology (MLP, LP) is a requirement.
- Prior experience in working in direct clinical service provision to Medicaid recipients is beneficial but not required.
- Capable of responding to crisis and conflict in families with confidence and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting insurance forms, contracts, and clinical documentation.
- Ability to perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Strong problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to build trust and respect with clients, staff, and partners.
- Must be self-directed and able to collaborate effectively.
- Confident and professional when managing crisis or conflict situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and web-based systems.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to lift/move up to 25 pounds.
- Must have adequate vision to perform computer-related tasks.
- May be required to respond physically in situations involving agitated youth or guardians.
- Standard office environment.
- Fast-paced setting with moderate to high noise levels.
