• Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapeutic services to HPC patients.
• Provide individual, family, couples, and group therapy based on patient needs.
• Develop and monitor patient-centered treatment plans and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation.
• Assess and respond to behavioral health crises, including suicide risk and safety concerns, and provide appropriate intervention and referrals.
• Coordinate care with patients, families, behavioral health providers, medical providers, and community resources as appropriate.
• Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, quality improvement activities, and chart audits.
• Collaborate with other HPC departments, including Primary Care, Pediatrics, and Women’s Health to support coordinated patient care when appropriate.
• Maintain compliance with applicable licensing, ethical, regulatory, HIPAA, and HPC requirements.
• Maintain required licensure and continuing education.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position.

• Experience providing behavioral health assessment and treatment to individuals with a variety of mental health and behavioral health conditions.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, evidence-based treatment approaches, trauma-informed care, substance use disorders, and psychopharmacology.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• Commitment to expanding access to behavioral health services for underserved populations.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

• Master of Social Work degree required.
• Active and unrestricted Kansas license as a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker (LSCSW) required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing behavioral health services as a therapist .

• Ability to lift 25 pounds ; occasionally up to 60 pounds.
• Thos e physical movements and t h e degree of mobility, manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination normally associated with normal medical office will b e performed on a repetitive basis.
• The ability to distinguish letters and symbols as well as t h e ability to utilize telephones, computer terminals and copiers is required.

Health Partnership Clinic (HPC) provides integrated, comprehensive healthcare services to individuals and families throughout the communities we serve. The Behavioral Health Therapist is a member of the Behavioral Health Department which provides comprehensive mental health and substance use services to HPC patients across the organization.

Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Health Officer, the Behavioral Health Therapist provides assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual, family, couples, and group therapy, crisis intervention, psychoeducation, and other behavioral health services appropriate to the patient's needs. The therapist serves patients across the lifespan and works with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health and behavioral health concerns.

The Behavioral Health Therapist collaborates with medical, behavioral health, and other members of the healthcare team to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. The therapist is expected to provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, evidence-based care that supports the behavioral health needs of HPC's diverse patient population.
