Housekeeping Manager – 15490 South Rogers Road, Olathe KS 66062 – Full‑time $20+ hourly
About the JobCandlewood Suites in Olathe by IHG is seeking a Housekeeping Manager with enthusiasm for their team and the condition of the property. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective operations of the housekeeping and laundry departments while maintaining an attentive, friendly, and courteous atmosphere. Our goal is to provide our guests with a clean and safe environment while creating memorable experiences.
You will be required to know brand policies, procedures, and standards as well as city, county, and state policies and guidelines. You will be instrumental in providing memorable moments for our team members and our guests while efficiently managing expenses and maximizing service levels.

- Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving challenges.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include the proper uniform and name tag for yourself and staff.
- Be comfortable learning brand computer software to assign room attendant boards, update room status, and use Cloud based PMS system
- Maintain PAR levels in all supplies and linen inventory per company policy by completing inventory reports and submitting supply orders.
- Respond to all guest requests, concerns, and complaints in an attentive, courteous manner.
- Assign room boards and other assignments to room attendants, housemen, and laundry attendants. Ensure consistency and timeliness in completing assignments.
- Walk inside and outside of the property daily.
- Ensure linen rooms and cleaning carts are clean and stocked daily.
- Perform daily inspections of all guest rooms and public areas to ensure the standards and productivity levels are being met and maintained.
- Schedule and assign weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual cleaning projects.
- Maintain Lost and Found and Key control, daily.
- Be proactive in finding issues before our guests do. Initiate work orders and follow through.
- Maintain professional and consistent communication with the front desk and maintenance throughout the day.
- Maintain a discarded linen log and compare it with the monthly inventory.
- Ensure all daily assignments are completed and signed off, prior to leaving for the day.
- Assist with cleaning duties as needed.
- Prior housekeeping experience as a supervisor/manager.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work on the computer and have a smartphone.
- Flexible schedule to meet hotel demand. This includes weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to be on your feet for 8 hours daily, exert up to 50 pounds of force, push and pull heavy objects, and have the mobility to inspect high and low areas of the rooms and hotel.
