Midas Hospitality is seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support all aspects of hotel operations. This leadership role partners with the General Manager to drive exceptional guest experiences, develop high-performing teams, maintain brand standards, and achieve operational and financial goals. You Will Be Doing
- Support the General Manager in overseeing all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Sales, and other operational areas.
- Lead daily hotel operations and act as the Manager on Duty as assigned.
- Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and develop associates while fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Assist with performance management, associate recognition, and ongoing development initiatives.
- Ensure exceptional guest service by resolving concerns promptly and professionally while implementing effective service recovery strategies.
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement improvement plans to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Assist with managing hotel financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, labor management, expense controls, and profitability initiatives.
- Analyze operational reports and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support revenue management strategies, rate integrity, and overall hotel performance goals.
- Ensure compliance with Midas Hospitality standards, brand requirements, and all company safety and operational procedures.
- Conduct property inspections to maintain cleanliness, quality, safety, and overall asset condition.
- Collaborate with department leaders to maintain efficient communication and successful daily operations.
- Assist with inventory controls, purchasing processes, and cost management initiatives.
- Utilize hotel Property Management Systems (PMS), reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications to manage daily operations.
- Respond to emergencies, operational challenges, and guest situations with professionalism and urgency.
- Complete additional responsibilities and strategic projects assigned by the General Manager or regional leadership.
- Previous hotel leadership experience required, including experience as an Assistant General Manager, Front Office Manager, Department Head, or similar hospitality leadership role.
- Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management, Hotel Administration, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest service standards, and brand compliance.
- Experience leading, motivating, and developing teams in a hospitality environment.
- Understanding budgeting, forecasting, labor management, and operational reporting.
- Experience with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to react to changing priorities, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain operational excellence.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and respond to operational emergencies as needed.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and movement throughout the hotel property. Candidates should be able to lift, push, or move up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation. Work is performed primarily indoors in a climate-controlled hotel environment but may require inspections of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, exterior grounds, and other hotel facilities.
