Houseperson/Laundry Attendant

The Courtyard by Marriott Olathe, Kansas is currently hiring a houseperson/laundry attendant. This is a full-time position. The hours are 8:00AM to 4:00PM and may change based on hotel needs. Candidates must be available to work on weekends. There is an opportunity for evening shifts as well.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

• Clean all hallways/staircases, public restrooms, windows, entrance ways patio, elevators, pool-exercise room, pick up the parking lot, inside/outside trash.
• You will be working closely with both housekeeping and the maintenance departments.
• Advise Management of low inventory items; assist in receiving items and taking inventory as required.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards.
• Follow all established safety protocols and procedures at all times. Immediately report any unsafe or malfunctioning equipment or any safety incident to the supervisor or manager on duty.
• May assist by performing dishwashing or other kitchen duties as needed.
• Recheck restrooms throughout the shift, cleaning and restocking supplies as needed.
• Taking out trash from each floor of the housekeeping closets and taking the bags to the dumpster.
• Report problems and maintenance needs for Management.
• May be required to assist in laundry, clean rooms, or complete special projects assigned by Management.

This job requires the ability to do the following:

• Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 20 pounds and the ability to push/pull medium to large weights/objects.
• Frequently standing up and moving about the facility.
• Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility.
• Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling.
• Able to work alone as well as being a team member.
