Systems Administrator
Akkodis is seeking a Linux Administrator for a Contract with a client in Olathe, KS
. Candidates must have strong Linux administration expertise across RHEL/Ubuntu with advanced VMware and file system management skills to ensure high‑availability operations.
Rate Range: $41/hour to $45/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Managing and administering Linux environments (RHEL/Ubuntu) with a focus on performance tuning, file system management, and system optimization.
- Overseeing VMware operations including ESXi/vCenter administration, VM provisioning, snapshots, and performance troubleshooting.
- Leading critical P1 incident calls, performing root‑cause analysis, and resolving performance issues across CPU, memory, disk I/O, and storage interfaces.
- Handling storage operations including SAN/NAS integration, iSCSI/FC configuration, multipathing, and file system recovery.
- Executing automation tasks through scripting to improve system reliability, efficiency, and operational consistency.
- Monitoring and supporting 24×7 production systems while ensuring adherence to SLAs and maintaining high availability.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- 6–8 years of hands‑on experience in Linux and VMware administration within enterprise production environments.
- Requires strong expertise in Linux performance troubleshooting, file system management, and storage technologies (iSCSI/FC/SAN/NAS).
- Requires advanced VMware administration capability along with proven experience leading critical P1 incident resolution and root‑cause analysis.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $45.00 per hour
