Data 360 Senior Technical Architect

The Data 360 Senior Technical Architect is a recognized expert and demonstrated thought leader in the technical and functional application of Data 360 (f.k.a. Data Cloud) for enterprise customer engagements. The role significantly influences the successful architecture and delivery of complex Data 360 projects and drives internal knowledge scaling. This senior‑level position sits within CSG Professional Services on the Data Excellence team.
The functions are split equally between delivery and internal employee enablement: half of the role is customer‑facing, serving Salesforce’s enterprise customers as a technical advisor, while the other half is spent on enabling CSG employees on Data 360 by providing technical expertise, documenting reference architecture, building reusable tools, assets, and patterns, assisting with enablement sessions, and providing Voice of the Customer to the Product and Engineering organizations to contribute to product enhancements.
- Serve as the go‑to subject matter expert on Salesforce Data 360 for internal teams and enterprise customers, providing deep insight into its capabilities, technical architecture, potential applications, and limitations.
- Act as a senior escalation point for critical or complex Data 360 project challenges, diagnosing and recommending strategic and technical solutions.
- Partner with customers and account teams to assess business challenges, identify high‑impact use cases, define solution scope, develop detailed technical designs, and articulate business value.
- Lead and contribute to mentorship and enablement programs: develop and deliver technical content, document reference architectures, build reusable assets and patterns, and run internal training sessions.
- Maintain a high degree of expertise on the evolving product roadmap and broader data platform landscape through continuous learning.
- Provide Voice of the Customer feedback to Product and Engineering organizations, directly contributing to product enhancements.
- Actively partner with GTM counterparts during pre‑sales activities by providing expert technical validation, shaping scope, and contributing to future Services offerings.
- Manage parallel engagements across multiple strategic clients, meeting a utilization target of 50%.
- Practical, hands‑on, real‑life Data 360 experience guiding customers on successful use of the platform.
- Salesforce Data 360 Consultant certification is required.
- Strong understanding of data management concepts for structured and unstructured data within the Salesforce ecosystem (including Salesforce CRM and Data 360) and external systems, covering data integration, transformation (ETL/ELT), and data governance.
- Customer Data Platform (CDP) and data warehouse experience preferred (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Big Query, SQL Server).
- Demonstrated ability to influence a group audience, facilitate solutioning and lead discussions on implementation methodology, architectural roadmaps, enterprise transformation strategy, and executive‑level requirement gathering sessions.
- Experience with AI‑related data integration technologies and concepts, including RAG, vector databases, search indexes, and knowledge bases, and their application to grounding Agentforce solutions with enterprise data.
- Relevant Salesforce experience in Agentforce, Sales Cloud, and Service Cloud, with related certifications (Salesforce Administrator, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, Agentforce Specialist, Agent blazer Legend) is a strong plus.
- Strong aptitude toward communicating complex business and technical concepts using visualization and modeling aids, and the ability to create sophisticated diagrams and documents.
- Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Security, and Data Privacy concepts and regulations is preferred.
- BA/BS degree or foreign equivalent in a technical or related field.
- Willingness to travel when needed (expected to be less than 10%).
