Overview

Play a pivotal role in protecting some of the nation’s most critical systems. Begin work immediately with an active TS/SCI clearance and deliver expert Cybersecurity support as an ISSO. Partner with the ACC Cybersecurity CISO and unit ISSOs to maintain a powerful, effective program that safeguards the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of AF IC information resources.

Responsibilities
  • Develop local unit Cybersecurity programs and security plans IAW ACC, AF, IC, and DOD guidance.
  • Gather data, analyze compliance, and report results on local unit Cybersecurity programs, security plans, POA&M, A&A workflow tools data, patch management, IAVA, DoD 8570.01M certifications, FISMA compliance, and ATOs to unit leadership and HHQs.
  • Interact with local units and HHQ IISMs to provide Cybersecurity assessments, courses of action, and solutions to commanders.
  • Provide on‑the‑job training to Government civilian, contractor, and military personnel on IT security tools, policies, and procedures.
  • Oversee JWICS operations for all Wing and subordinate unit SCIFs on site, including account management, network storage, local authentication servers, file servers, user privileges, local group policy, local software testing, restoration operations, contingency planning, and local backups.
  • Ensure security patching is completed locally and push JAVA, NOTAMS, and TCNO patches that the AF JWICS Enterprise cannot perform remotely.
  • Work directly with users at the site and liaise daily with the ESD and ESC AF to resolve user and network‑related issues.
  • Perform investigative administration operations in support of the Cyber Security Operations Center for malware, spyware, Trojans, or unauthorized software detected on any device at the Site.
  • Respond within one (1) hour of critical incident notification during duty hours (0730‑1630) and within six (6) hours during non‑duty hours, weekends, or holidays if needed.
  • Work autonomously with minimal oversight and collaboratively with multiple personnel to fulfill responsibilities, collect facts, analyze information, plan actions, make sound decisions, and solve security problems.
Required Qualifications
  • IAT Level II required.
  • JWICS SYSAD administration skills and experience.
  • Experience working with Assessment and Authorization documents, assessments, and Cybersecurity program tasks.
  • Two (2) years of experience with AF and IC plans and policies.
  • Ability to learn and apply ICD 705 physical security and personnel security duties.
  • Current TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Knowledge of IT security principles, including system software, database software, storage technology, tools, procedures, certification, and accreditation requirements.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory tools for account management.
  • Experience imaging computers, upgrading operating systems, and using scanning tools to patch devices.
  • Experience with Remedy or similar trouble‑ticketing systems.
  • Ability to remotely log into computers for maintenance.
  • Experience adding and removing computers to domains and assigning user‑level security controls.
  • Knowledge of Security+ functions and standalone security practices.
  • Experience modifying file servers and shared permissions.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution or a bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of experience in the specific labor category.
