Technical Writer II

Key Responsibilities

• Works independently on assigned documentation and communicates statuses and obstacles.
• Interviews subject matter experts and observes the task or process to determine procedure and detail.
• Studies submitted materials including BOMs, drawings, pictures and more to inform documentation.
• Organizes material and completes writing assignments according to internal standards.
• Proofreads documentation for others and recommends improvements.
• Reviews published materials and recommends revisions or changes in scope, format, or content.
• Mentors less experienced team members as appropriate.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Education:

Associate’s degree or higher in technical writing or technical communication preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience. Prefer experience in engineering, energy, or manufacturing.

Tools: CCMS or authoring tools experience, Microsoft Suite, Smartsheet.

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule:

This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday–Friday. Overtime may be required.
