Job Description
The role focuses on advanced network architecture, troubleshooting and support across multiple domains including fabric, security, wireless and services. The primary responsibilities involve diagnosing and resolving complex P1 issues, providing real‑time packet capture analysis, and guiding lower‑level engineers in a high‑pressure production environment.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills- Implement and support Cisco ACI (policy model, contracts, EPGs, fabric troubleshooting)
- Administer and troubleshoot Palo Alto Firewalls – security policies, NAT, routing, Panorama management and threat prevention profiles
- Manage enterprise wireless networks (Cisco, Aruba, or equivalent) – RF optimization, roaming, high‑density deployments
- Design, configure and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, including third‑party interoperability
- Administer Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) – grid management, failover, automation integration
- Lead hands‑on P1 troubleshooting for complex network issues across Application, LAN, WAN, DC, and security domains
- Real‑time packet capture skills to investigate complex issues during live P1 calls (Wireshark)
- Cisco ACI – APIC, EPGs, contracts, fabric health, L2/L3 connectivity
- Palo Alto Firewalls – PAN‑OS, Panorama, security policies, IPSec VPN, NAT
- Wireless – Enterprise WLAN design, RF analysis, troubleshooting
- VPN – IPSec site‑to‑site, remote access, multi‑vendor environments
- Infoblox – DNS, DHCP, IPAM, Grid Master, HA
- Networking Fundamentals – TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, multicast
- Troubleshoot Level 3 and advanced network issues, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate solutions in high‑pressure factory environments
- Investigate causes, test solutions, and recommend process improvements to reduce ticket resolution time
- Manage new and existing equipment, hardware, and network device software upgrades
- Understand network support priorities, actively contribute to achieving them
- Lead and drive operational issues, engaging multiple stakeholders during live troubleshooting
- Provide guidance to Level 1 and Level 2 resources on network issues
- Strong understanding of routing and switching protocols
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; explain complex technical issues clearly
- Resourceful, able to work independently and manage shifting priorities with strong time‑management and attention to detail
