Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a shift of warehouse staff for the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Olathe, KS. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this role supervises a team dedicated to safe and effective operations that meet the needs of Chick-fil-A restaurant Operators while driving key performance indicators (KPIs) and exceptional customer service. This position supports Chick-fil-A’s vision and strategy and embodies the corporate purpose, collaborating with other leaders to enable supply chain innovation in the food service industry.

Monday – Thursday OR Wednesday – Saturday, 6:30am – 5:30pm. This position requires flexibility and adaptability, as you will work on a rotating shift schedule that may include day, evening, and night shifts, as well as weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities- Lead a dynamic warehouse team to receive, pick, load, and complete other warehouse tasks by creating workflow and eliminating waste in the operation.
- Oversee daytime transportation operation performance, including audits and observations of routes when required.
- Collaborate with leaders and team members to identify and resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Monitor expenditure data and support budget management.
- Recruit, train, and develop a strong team; manage staff performance with the warehouse manager; recognize outstanding performance.
- Act as liaison to Restaurant Services, balancing Operator needs with operational capabilities.
- Implement, manage, and improve distribution center operations to deliver high service levels to Operators and achieve KPIs.
- Work closely with the DC Leadership Team, CFA Supply Services, and business partners to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Support the Chick-fil-A vision and strategy by building a culture aligned with the Supply values of care, safety, and excellence.
- Complete other activities as required.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse leadership.
- Demonstrated experience with food service distribution, including warehousing, operations (Six Sigma and Lean), engineering standards, warehouse equipment, and performance metrics.
- Knowledge of innovations in supply chain and warehouse operations; ensure compliance with general safety standards, quality specifications, and governmental requirements.
- Proven ability to complete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 60 pounds, and to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts respectfully.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED. - Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking) to safely follow verbal instructions, complete documentation, and interpret labels and paperwork.
- 4+ years of experience in warehouse operations, including experience in a food distribution or food manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a start-up environment and demonstrated success in operations and people leadership.
- Experience with a warehouse management system; proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with ERP, WMS, and TMS solutions.
