After 44 weeks of training, District Managers oversee the operations of up to six stores and collaborate with store management to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve operational excellence and drive sales growth. ALDI plans to add 800 new stores by 2028 and provides professional development and advancement opportunities.

Starting Salary and IncentivesStarting Salary: $95,000
Signing Bonus: $5,000
Salary Increases:
Year 2 $ 110,000 | Year 3 - $120,000 | Year 4 - $130,000
- Consistently demonstrate the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) as outlined for the role
- Assess, establish, and implement appropriate store staffing levels with input from direct reports
- Work with direct reports to develop and implement action plans that improve operating results
- Ensure adherence to company merchandising plans
- Plan and conduct regularly scheduled meetings with direct reports
- Assure training, development, and performance of the team to retain a motivated workforce
- Recruit and recommend qualified employees for team staff positions
- Approve all time-off requests for direct reports
- Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations; resolve barriers to goal achievement
- Understand and model the company strategy and core values to create teamwork
- Review and analyze district pricing and keep leadership informed of competitive position
- Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue
- Coordinate with direct reports in recruitment and interviewing of applicants
- Discuss advancement, discharge or discipline with direct reports as appropriate
- Support direct reports in conducting store meetings
- Consult with leadership on team strategy development
- Advise leadership to source external vendors when appropriate
- Collaborate with regions to ensure timely communication flow
- Design and streamline applicable processes within the organization
- Stay up-to-date on external best practices and updates; communicate them to leadership
- Ensure store personnel comply with customer satisfaction guidelines
- Oversee resolution of operational customer concerns by store management
- Monitor store conditions, equipment, and employee performance to maintain a safe environment
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable regulations
- Manage payroll budgets and total loss results within district budget
- Review inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control to minimize losses
- Conduct store inventory counts and cash audits
- Drive projects and tasks to completion through prioritization and cross-functional collaboration
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements
- Serve as primary link between team staff and leadership to align goals and opportunities
- Other duties as assigned
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
