Job Summary

Director of Operational Transformation (East) leads operational excellence across the GR NAM East cluster, driving performance improvement, KPI management, stabilization of glass recycling operations, and profitable investment toward growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a central performance driver, influencing operational results including revenue, margin, cost, and cash generation.
  • Partner with cluster leaders and plant managers to identify gaps, define corrective actions, and drive measurable improvement.
  • Support recovery of underperforming operations and enable sustainable, profitable growth.
  • Define, implement, and standardize key performance indicators (KPIs) across operations, aligning to safety, reliability, throughput, yield, cost, service, and profitability.
  • Facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews; identify variances and coordinate timely action.
  • Hold functional leaders accountable for delivering performance against KPIs.
  • Collaborate with Operations Directors to stabilize, standardize, and improve plant performance, introducing operating rhythms and execution discipline.
  • Develop capability in performance management, problem solving, and accountability across site and cluster leadership.
  • Ensure alignment with Sibelco HSE, quality and sustainability standards through consistent monitoring and intervention.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mining, Technology or related field (required).
  • Master of Business Administration (desired).
  • Minimum of 7 years of applicable industry experience in recycling or waste management.
  • Proven track record of P&L delivery.
  • Experience working in a KPI‑driven accountability environment.
  • Capital planning and business case development skills.
  • Leadership oversight of other leaders.
