TT Electronics’ Olathe, Kansas facility, is an industry-leading designer and manufacturer of custom magnetic products and assemblies. The Olathe-based site has 65 years’ experience in the design and development of unique harsh-environment solutions for mission‑critical applications.
Our dedicated teams are driven by collaboration and innovation to deliver engineering‑led products supporting key applications including power conversion, actuation and control systems where our solutions support a broad range of globally recognized major aerospace and defense platforms across air, land and sea.
Role Overview And ResponsibilitiesThe Production Manager is responsible for leading all operational activities within the assigned value stream to meet or exceed business objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people development. This role champions company initiatives that promote a safe and efficient work environment, ebnhance customer satisfaction, improve processes, and develop a high‑performing, technically skilled workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Leads the value stream in daily operations and continuous improvement, including production control, materials flow, and establishing manufacturing priorities.
- Drives a culture of safety, quality, delivery, and cost excellence by ensuring standardized work processes are followed, countermeasures are implemented, and all activities comply with safety and operational requirements.
- Partners with Continuous Improvement Leader to implement Training Within Industry (TWI) and lean tools across the value stream.
- Fosters a positive and high‑performing team environment through regular communication, problem‑solving discussions, and proactive coaching. Conducts regular one‑on‑one meetings with direct reports to identify challenges, develop solutions, and track progress.
- Develops individual and team capabilities through effective performance management, feedback, and cross‑training. Ensures backup overage and skill flexibility to maintain continuous operations.
- Monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost analysis, product line margins, quality performance, and manufacturing productivity. Uses data to identify trends and drive improvement actions.
- Collaborates cross‑functionally to define the future state of the value stream, develop value stream maps, and execute actionable plans to achieve strategic goals.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by aligning production output with demand, maintaining quality standards, and supporting on‑time delivery.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
