IntroductionThe Electronics Assembly Operator II is responsible for performing repetitive intermediate-level assembly work on low-volume, high-mix assembly lines to mass produce transformers and inductors. Is responsible for being a reliable team member that can work independently within the team and meet our expectations of core values. This role maintains a clean and safe work area and follows standard work as trained.
Key Responsibilities- Performs responsibilities of Electronics Assembler Operator I.
- Performs intermediate-level assembly work. For example, installs inserts on headers, intermediate leads, place leads, wraps, solders, crimps, centers inserts, interleaves, and butt lams stacks.
- Performs basic inspections using calipers, thread gauges, height gauge, and flat stones.
- Operates and maintains winding machines.
- Performs lead wire assembly.
- Performs the placement of wire leads for hook-up.
- Performs caliper measurements using production drawings.
- Operates and maintains winding machines.
- Performs transformer coil wire assembly.
- Performs soldering of connectors and wire.
- Other duties as required and/or assigned.
- Reads and understands production drawings and work instructions.
- Able to work with chemicals.
- Good manual dexterity/ability to work with wire sizes between 18 to 38 American Wire Gauge (AWG).
- Working in a repetitive job.
- Working knowledge of quality practices.
- Meets vision requirements specified by quality management system.
- The position is on the production floor and could involve sitting for a long period of time, but not limited to standing walking and lifting throughout the day.
- Lifting amounts of up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- GED or High School Diploma preferred but not required.
- J-STD-001 Soldering Certified.
- Soldering experience of one year is preferred.
- Prior experience with assembly in manufacturing is preferred.
- Inspection experience is preferred.
