Position Summary / What you’ll do
Diagnoses and resolves complex manufacturing and equipment issues (for example, PLC controller commands, machine configuration changes, calibration adjustments) by gathering required information and formulating an action plan. Utilizes diagnostic tools and standard operating procedures to resolve issues. Interprets test results to determine corrective actions. Leverages technical documentation and process knowledge to troubleshoot problems. Engages support teams (for example, maintenance crews, vendor technicians) as needed to assist in resolution (for example, reprogramming or mechanical adjustments).
Manages and resolves production incidents, requests, and escalations received through various communication channels (for example, shift reports, email, system alerts, in-person requests). Monitors incident and request queues, categorizes urgency, validates root causes, and coordinates the delivery or installation of assets (for example, spare parts, tooling, consumables) upon approved request. Tracks the status of work orders and downtime tickets, assigns tasks to other teams, escalates as needed, and updates maintenance logs and templates.
Identifies trends in recurring equipment failures and process deviations by reviewing downtime and maintenance logs. Determines when a series of issues indicate an underlying root cause, follows escalation procedures based on severity, and communicates trends effectively. Provides analysis and recommendations to resolve systemic issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). Maintains accurate records of troubleshooting activities, corrective actions, and equipment performance to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Supports audits and inspections by providing required documentation and demonstrating adherence to standard operating procedures. Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges.
Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities.
