Production Operator – Weekend Shift
United Rotary Brush is an Olathe, Kansas based manufacturer of specialty industrial brushes for the airport, road construction, street sweeping and plow industries. Our Olathe, KS manufacturing facility (I-35 & Old 56 Hwy) is looking for Production Operators 6:00 am – 6:30 am, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. These positions are a great fit for individuals who take pride in producing quality products for our customers and who desire to help drive a safe, quality focused production environment.

Production OperatorJob Summary
Participate in line setup and production of high-volume brushes and brooms. Ensure machines are operating effectively and efficiently and that production needs are met through daily production efforts. Operate machines and perform light maintenance and cleaning. Perform work that is within safety and quality guidelines.
Duties & Responsibilities- Adhere to safety procedures in all actions.
- Safely work with machinery to produce and manufacture a variety of company product lines.
- Maintain a safe work environment and work with large, powerful equipment.
- Follow workplace and governmental guidelines to avoid/reduce the chance of injury to self and/or co-workers.
- Lead by example and wear proper safety gear (such as safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel‑toed boots).
- Clean and maintain equipment in the work area during and at the end of each shift.
- Monitor machinery for efficient and effective operation and request maintenance assistance when a machine appears to malfunction.
- Feed raw materials into production machinery.
- Pack materials for product by following work order quantities.
- Require attention to detail and accurate piece counts.
- Label product by following quality specifications.
- Record production information on work orders.
- Carry out basic quality and testing checks; require attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understand deadlines and maintain awareness of the daily production output requirements and quality goals.
- Time in and time out properly according to company policy.
- Ability to read and understand production work orders.
- Attention to detail.
- Maintain a focus on high quality production process and output, and recognize when a machine makes a "wrong" sound or the finished item is not to specification.
- Perform the job with limited supervision.
- Arrive on time, stay on task, and take pride in the quantity and quality of the work.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced working environment.
- Warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
Will be standing on feet for a prolonged amount of time. Will need ability to bend, lift, carry, and stretch to perform work duties.

Compensation Details20-22 hourly wage
