What you'll do- Maintain the highest standards of quality and food safety by monitoring, testing, recording, and reacting to product, production, and process quality data (e.g., Critical Control Points, Key Performance Indicators).
- Verify raw materials and finished products comply with federal, state, and company specifications.
- Produce accurate results while multitasking in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Anticipate problems or conflicts and maintain a proactive approach to business needs.
- Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources to set priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
- Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners.
- Communicate progress and key information; determine and recommend solutions to improvement opportunities.
- Adapt to change, difficulties, and feedback; continuously learn and adjust.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
- Implement related action plans and use the Open Door Policy when needed.
- Maintain knowledge of laboratory functions (operations, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair).
- Cross‑train within the Food Safety/QA department (e.g., MSS Validation Coordinator, Sanitation Specialist, Quality Systems Specialist, Micro Technician).
- Sustain a calibration program for plant instruments and equipment.
- Apply a continuous improvement mindset by identifying and correcting process improvement opportunities.
- Conduct statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
- Participate in projects that promote continuous improvement methodologies.

2 years’ experience in clerical related responsibilities (e.g., filing, data entry) and computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Visio).
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Biology, Science, Agriculture or related field. Fluid milk testing laboratory experience in raw milk sample testing, bottled milk testing as well as pre‑operations inspections and swabbing.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
