Position Title
SW KC Mkt Volunteer Coordinator at Olathe Medical Pavilion
SummaryThe Volunteer Coordinator coordinates all Volunteer Services for the Hospice Agency, developing, implementing, and evaluating the volunteer program and volunteer performance, providing monthly meetings and in‑services to enhance volunteer knowledge, and maintaining records and statistics related to the Volunteer program.
Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions- Plans and implements volunteer recruitment.
- Prepares and presents volunteer training.
- Ensures competency of volunteers on an ongoing basis.
- Arranges and conducts monthly volunteer meetings.
- Prepares and presents volunteer in‑services.
- Attends and participates in IDT meetings.
- Arranges volunteer services based on individual client and family needs.
- Attends and participates in group planning for special events.
- Maintains ongoing open communication with all team members.
- Maintains records, statistics, and documentation of volunteer activities.
- Performs professional, clinical, or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
Education and Experience
- High School Graduate.
- 3 or more years of team leadership experience.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Teaching, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations.
- 3 or more years of volunteer leadership experience OR 2 or more years of event or project planning experience.
