TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for Labor and Delivery in Mitchell, South Dakota.

• Provide care and support for women before, during, and after delivery.
• Ensure medical and emotional needs of patients are met at all times during the birthing process.
• Assist physicians with epidurals, pain medication administration, episiotomies, and preparation for cesarean deliveries.
• Stay with and monitor patient throughout labor.
• Monitor contractions and help patients with breathing techniques.
• Check cervix periodically to monitor progression/lack of dilation.
• Maintain clean and dry bedding; clean bodily fluids before and after childbirth.
• Aid physician with drapes, gloves, gowns, delivery instruments.
• Provide immediate care of newborn.
• Stand, walk, bend, lean, and stoop for long periods; lift 20 lbs easily, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Cope with stress and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

• BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN, FHM certifications.
• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Total Med Travel Job .
