Overview

LPN/RN Director of Wellness – $7,500 Sign on Bonus (Full Time)

Location:

Olathe, Kansas. This role is with Arrow Senior Living Management. The position is Full Time and reports to the Executive Director.

• Direct and maintain exceptional quality of care for all residents.
• Provide oversight, training, motivation, and team building to Wellness staff.
• Provide exceptional service to residents, families, and visitors.
• Oversee department compliance and budget and ensure Wellness operates according to state guidelines and Arrow policies.
• Present a professional demeanor that communicates a corporate philosophy of service, goodwill, dignity and respect, celebration, and choice in each resident’s needs.
• Oversee care companions and medication technicians; coordinate medication management.
• Ensure outstanding and appropriate care is delivered while adhering to community policy, regulation, and law.
• Chart resident notes appropriately; review end of shift notes; record new or changed physician orders.
• Maintain healthcare provider relations; perform resident assessments and appraisals of resident needs.
• Perform other duties as assigned; respond to medical emergencies; monitor and record physical, mental, and emotional changes in residents.
• Maintain accurate resident charts; assist in scheduling medical appointments and maintain a current medical appointment calendar.
• Collaborate with the Resident Services Director to implement appropriate activities; report regularly to the Executive Director for status updates and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with physicians; implement staff training programs, including dementia-specific orientation with Memory Care Director, medication training, and general staff training materials.
• Participate in community surveys; meet with families/residents during admissions; ensure rooms are ready for new residents.
• Report suspected elder abuse or neglect per Policies and Procedures.

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing in the state of employment.
• At least two years of experience in resident care in assisted living.
• Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations; experience with memory-impaired residents.
• Ability to maintain and update effective service plans; supervise care staff.
• Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law; ability to communicate with physicians, pharmacies, families, and community staff.
• Good health and physical ability to perform assigned tasks; health screening within six months prior to or seven days after employment.
• Freedom from active pulmonary tuberculosis within seven days of employment; criminal background checks by DOJ and FBI; clean driving record per insurer policy.
