Position Title
Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN)-peds

The registered nurse utilizes the nursing process to coordinate an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. The RN promotes and restores patient health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and families. The RN exemplifies the organization’s core values of compassion, integrity, and unity and practices within the boundaries of the Kansas Nurse Practice Act, specialty standards, and organizational policies.
Responsibilities& Essential Job Functions
- Consistently meet work schedule.
- Demonstrate critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients.
- Coordinate health care services with hospitals, vendors, physician offices and other institutions.
- Answer patient/significant others phone calls, evaluate patient needs, and triage patient care.
- Provide patient/family education using available resources.
- Act as liaison between patient, significant others, and health team members.
- Identify area for professional growth.
- Participate fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.
- Perform the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.

Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- High School Graduate
Education and Experience
- At least 1 year of previous healthcare experience
- Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Single State
- State Board of Nursing OR - Licensed Registered Nurse (LRN) - Multi-State
- State Board of Nursing - Staff hired prior to 2/1/2024 are required to obtain a multistate state RN license from the state in which they live at the time of their next RN license renewal by 3/31/2026.
- CPR/AED/BLS – Other BLS
