Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is a recently acquired and rebranded skilled nursing facility located in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We provide long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and higher-acuity clinical services in a resident-centered environment.
We are adding to a strong team focused on clinical quality, operational excellence, staff support, and meaningful resident outcomes.
Job SummaryOverland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking a dependable and motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to be a key member of our nursing team. The LPN will provide direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, monitor resident conditions, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support safe, consistent, and resident-centered care.
ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility policies, professional standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as ordered.
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to the appropriate physician, registered nurse, supervisor, and interdisciplinary team members.
Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
Perform nursing assessments, treatments, wound care, medication management, and other clinical duties within the LPN scope of practice.
Supervise and provide direction to Certified Nursing Assistants and other assigned nursing staff.
Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, therapy, MDS, admissions, social services, dietary, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident care.
Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, physicians, and facility team members.
Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
Follow infection prevention, medication administration, resident safety, and quality assurance protocols.
Promote a positive, accountable, resident-centered, and team-oriented culture.
Current and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Kansas.
Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification as required by the facility.
Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation, or other clinical setting preferred.
