Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acute cardiac telemetry patients.
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from invasive cardiac procedures.
• Care for patients with chest pain, COVID, sepsis, alcohol withdrawal, and other acute medical conditions.
• Monitor patients receiving Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation and titration.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and cardiac rhythm monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation and ensure quality patient care.
• Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

Licensure

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) License

Certifications

• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• TR Band Experience (Required)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital RN experience

Education

• ADN or BSN
• BSN Preferred
• ADN candidates must be willing to obtain a BSN within 5 years.
