Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Olathe, KS
Position Type: Contract
- Shift: Night Shift
- Hours: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
- Frequency: 3 shifts per week
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On-Call Requirement: None
- Holiday Requirement: Based on unit needs (must be available to work July 4th)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Critical Care/ICU experience (required)
- Must have hands-on experience with:
- CRRT
- BiPAP
- Drawing own labs
- Chest tubes
- PICC lines (no vascular access team support)
- Managing own consults
- Leading/participating in codes (must be comfortable)
- Open heart patients from Day 1, including pacer wires
- Active Kansas RN License or Compact RN License
- Required certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification
- Candidates must be willing to float to:
- ICU
- All inpatient units including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele
- Emergency Department (based on prior experience)
- EMR System: Epic
- Facility Policy: Nicotine-free campus
- Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly
- Credential Deadline: Tuesday prior to Monday start
