Tele | Registered Nurse | 16-Week Travel RN Contract – Olathe, KS Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment in Olathe, Kansas

Join a fast-paced telemetry nursing team in Olathe, Kansas, in the Kansas City metro area. This travel RN job is ideal for an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys providing attentive cardiac care, collaborating with a skilled clinical team, and supporting patients throughout recovery in an acute care setting.

  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required
  • Floating: May float to all acute care units
  • On-Call: None
  • Orientation: Structured onboarding and EPIC EMR training provided
Job Requirements
  • Current BLS certification
  • Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry nursing experience
  • Experience with TR band management and post-procedure cardiac care
  • Working knowledge of cardiac drips, including Heparin, Bumex, Lasix, and Cardizem
  • Experience supporting Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation preferred
  • Comfortable working in an EPIC environment
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality bedside care to telemetry patients with a focus on cardiac monitoring, safety, and patient outcomes
  • Assess, monitor, and document patient status accurately throughout the shift

    Administer medications and manage cardiac drips in accordance with clinical protocols and nursing standards
  • Support patients recovering from procedures requiring TR band care and close observation
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote positive outcomes
  • Float as needed to support all acute care units
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced hospital environment
