Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is a recently acquired and rebranded skilled nursing facility located in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We provide long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and higher-acuity clinical services in a resident-centered environment.

We are adding to a strong team focused on clinical quality, operational excellence, staff support, and meaningful resident outcomes.

Job Summary

Overland Park Respiratory & Rehab Center is seeking a skilled, dependable, and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to be a key member of our nursing team. The RN will provide direct nursing care, oversee resident clinical needs, supervise nursing staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality care.

This position is well suited for a nurse who values clinical excellence, teamwork, accountability, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, facility policies, professional nursing standards, and applicable state and federal regulations.

  • Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in condition.

  • Promptly communicate changes in resident status to physicians, nursing leadership, residents, families, and appropriate interdisciplinary team members.

  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately as ordered.

  • Perform wound care, intravenous therapy, medication management, respiratory care support, and other clinical services within the RN scope of practice.

  • Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and significant changes in resident condition.

  • Ensure resident care needs are addressed throughout the shift.

  • Complete accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

  • Collaborate with nursing leadership, physicians, therapy, MDS, admissions, social services, dietary, respiratory therapy, and other departments to support coordinated resident care.

  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, physicians, and facility team members.

  • Follow infection prevention, medication administration, resident safety, quality assurance, and emergency response protocols.

  • Promote a positive, accountable, resident-centered, and team-oriented culture.

Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas.

  • Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification/

  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, rehabilitation, acute care, or other clinical setting preferred.

  • Experience caring for residents with complex medical, respiratory, tracheostomy, or ventilator needs is preferred but not required.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills.

Salary Range

$44-51 per hour, based on experience
