Position Title:
Quality Specialist
Wage: $22.00-$26.00/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours:
7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday
Location:
Olathe, KS
- Conduct visual inspections of parts and panels to determine acceptability based on established standards
- Identify, document, and track rejected or non-conforming parts
- Utilize inventory tracking systems to identify defective inventory and print tags as needed
- Communicate quality concerns and part defects with Line Leaders, Paint Leads, and production personnel
- Assist with production line tasks as needed, including removing masking and supporting operational requirements
- Perform paint testing and validation on parts and panels
- Accurately collect, analyze, and present quality data
- Read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and quality documentation
- Adapt to changing customer requirements, production priorities, and business needs
- Maintain testing equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition
- Safely operate hand and power tools as required
- Follow all company safety procedures and wear designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
- Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and specifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Preferred proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Preferred strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems
- Preferred problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Preferred experience with quality control processes and inspection techniques
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform repetitive tasks
- Ability to work under production deadlines and changing priorities
