The Summit Hospitality Group Assistant Managerwillprovidesupporttothe General Manageroftherestaurant .The Assistant Managerisresponsibleforassistingthe General Managerinthedailyoperationsoftherestaurant .
- Overseeandmanageallareasoftherestaurantandmakedecisionsonmattersofimportancetoguestservice.
- Adheretocompanystandardsandservicelevelstoincreasethesalesandminimizecosts,including food,beverage,supply,utilityandlaborcosts.
- Enforcesanitarypracticesforfoodhandling,general cleanliness,andmaintenanceofkitchenanddiningareas.
Ensurecompliancewithoperationalstandards,company policies,federal/state/locallaws,and ordinances. - Ensurepositiveguestserviceinallareas.
Respondtocomplaints,takinganyandallappropriateactionstoturndissatisfiedguestsintoreturnguests. - Interviewhourlyemployees.
Workwith General Managerondirecthiring ,supervision,developmentandwhennecessaryworkwith
Human
Resourcesonemployeerelationissuestoincludedisciplinaryactionuptoterminations. - Conductorientationandoverseetrainingofnewhires.
- Maintainanaccurateandup-todateplanofrestaurantstaffingneeds.
Prepareschedulesandensurethattherestaurantisstaffedforallshifts.
Ensurethatschedulesarecompletedandpostedinatimelymanner. - Complywithandenforcesanitationregulationsandsafetystandards
- Maintainapositiveandprofessionalapproachwithcoworkersandcustomers
- 2+yearsofexperienceasan
Assistant Manageratarestaurant - Proficientinthefollowingdimensionsoftherestaurantfunctions:foodplanningandpreparations,purchasing,sanitation,security,companypoliciesandprocedures,personnel management,and recordkeeping.
- Accuracyandspeedinhandlingemergencysituationsandprovidingsolutions
- Familiarwithindustry’sbestpractices
- Workingknowledgeofvariouscomputersoftwareprograms(MSOffice,restaurantmanagementsoftware,POS)
- BSdegreeofscienceinhotel/restaurantmanagementwouldbeaplus.
- Medical Insurance-Company paid(employee portion)
