What you'll do...

Responsibilities

* Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring associates use proper safety equipment.

* Maintains work areas (e.g., keeps floors free of debris, ensures equipment is operational and clean, and removes hazards).

* Requests materials, supplies, parts, and repair services as needed.

* Manages daily production operations by planning and establishing work schedules and assignments.

* Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes, and practices for quality and effectiveness.

* Inspects materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions.

* Assists with production sequence planning to meet production goals and deliver superior customer service.

* Ensures timely resolution of associate performance concerns.

* Completes and analyzes departmental reports.

* Leads continuous improvement initiatives within a Lean culture by documenting and implementing improved processes.

* Participates in new hire onboarding and ongoing associate training.

* Provides process improvement guidance related to waste control, quality management, and process effectiveness.

* Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities by:

* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders

* Supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs

* Communicating goals and objectives

* Building accountability and measuring progress toward results

* Identifying and addressing improvement opportunities
