Position Summary...

What you'll do...

* Promotes a safe work environment by ensuring associates utilize proper safety equipment.

* Maintains work areas-for example, keeping floors free of debris, ensuring equipment is operational and clean, and removing hazards.

* Requests materials, supplies, parts, and repair services as needed.

* Manages the daily operation of the production area by planning and establishing work schedules and assignments.

* Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes, and practices for quality and effectiveness.

* Inspects materials, products, and equipment for defects or malfunctions.

* Assists in production sequence planning to meet production goals and provide superior customer service.

* Ensures the timely resolution of associate performance concerns.

* Completes and analyzes departmental reports.

* Manages the continuous improvement (Lean) culture by documenting and implementing new and improved processes.

* Participates in new-hire and ongoing associate training.

* Provides process improvement guidance related to waste control, quality management, and process effectiveness.

* Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by:

* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders

* Supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs

* Identifying and communicating goals and objectives

* Building accountability and measuring progress toward achieving results
