Job Summary
Examines textiles to determine quality and suitability. Appropriately prepares for next station. Directly impacts organizational sales (50% of Goodwill sales are associated with apparel sales).
Essential Functions- Secures textiles from container.
- Thoroughly examines condition and determines whether product goes to hanging or salvage.
- Met or exceeds goals and standards of production and quality.
- Accomplishes assigned cleaning routine.
- Assists in the training of workers and consumers in cooperation with the Workforce Development Department staff.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience in sales is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities- Able to stand for two hours at a time over a period spanning up to eight hours.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends some holidays.
Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach, and lift up to 40 pounds, walking or standing to a significant degree, and be able to move large boxes, furniture, and other heavy items.
