Sales Operations Manager – Olathe, Kansas

This role is the analytical and operational backbone of the company’s sales organization. The Manager owns the systems, reporting infrastructure and performance frameworks that enable sales leadership to make data‑driven decisions across all divisions. Responsibilities include producing and maintaining recurring performance reports and scorecards, coordinating sales training, developing customer‑facing webinars, and administering the enterprise systems that support sales operations.

Responsibilities Sales Performance Reporting & Analytics
  • Own end‑to‑end production of monthly and quarterly sales performance reports.
  • Build and maintain scorecards for reps, estimators and teams.
  • Define, track and report on key sales performance metrics.
  • Spot‑check report data for anomalies and coordinate verification.
  • Conduct ad‑hoc analyses on market penetration, account growth, positioning and rep effectiveness.
  • Support compensation planning and incentive program design with data‑driven analysis.
Sales Systems Administration
  • Primary administrator for enterprise systems that support sales reporting and commission workflows.
  • Manage employee records, job classification changes and deactivation timing.
  • Maintain data integrity across reporting and employee management systems.
  • Partner with IT and operations to optimize system workflows and reporting capabilities.
  • Maintain and enforce system usage standards across sales teams.
CRM Management & Pipeline Reporting
  • Maintain CRM data integrity, configuration and user adoption.
  • Develop and publish recurring pipeline reports by pipeline status and metrics.
  • Design dashboards that give sales leadership real‑time pipeline visibility.
Sales Forecasting
  • Lead preparation of monthly and quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Develop forecasting models that account for seasonality and market trends.
  • Present forecast results and variance analysis to senior leadership.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement.
Training Program Coordination
  • Liaison between sales org and Training Department.
  • Assess skill gaps, translate into learning plans and program requests.
  • Coordinate communications for sales training initiatives.
  • Track participation and report on training effectiveness.
  • Maintain a calendar of learning initiatives aligned with business cycles.
Manager Feedback Coordination
  • Coordinate semi‑annual manager feedback cycles.
  • Ensure timely collection, formatting and integration into performance reports.
Support of Local Market Quarterly Sales Initiatives
  • Work with marketing and sales leadership on marketing materials.
  • Research and provide target lists of strategic sales leads.
Customer‑Facing Webinars & Sales Communications
  • Plan, produce and facilitate webinars and workshops.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and product teams on webinar content.
  • Manage platforms, registration, promotion and post‑event follow‑up.
  • Build and maintain webinar audience lists.
  • Develop internal sales communications and resources.
Cross‑Functional Coordination & Leadership
  • Central coordinating resource across sales, operations, marketing, finance and commissions group.
  • Lead or participate in cross‑functional projects impacting the sales org.
  • Facilitate regular cadence meetings with sales leadership.
  • Build and maintain relationships with division leaders.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years in sales operations, business analytics or a related role.
  • Experience managing employee performance, hiring and training.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.
  • SharePoint administration or document management experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to present actionable insights.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
