Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician

We are seeking a dedicated HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair and maintenance of Walmart's commercial refrigeration equipment in local retail stores. The role requires hands‑on troubleshooting, use of hand and power tools, and adherence to safety and environmental standards.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills with hand tools, digital tools, power tools, and other equipment.
• Utilize the work order management system to receive repair work orders, support store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required safety and training requirements for operating equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, performing work according to Walmart's Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.

• At least 2 years of commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance experience.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Minimum 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience (preferred).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.
• 4 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.

• Hourly wage range: $23.00 – $45.00, depending on experience and location.
• Premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply for specific schedules or work assignments.
