Role Description

This full-time on-site Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic role is based in New Century, KS. The mechanic will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on corporate and private jets, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing airframe and power plant issues. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting inspections, verifying airworthiness, documenting maintenance activities, and adhering to regulatory and company standards. The role also involves collaborating with other maintenance personnel, communicating clearly with management about aircraft status, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

The mechanic will support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure that all work meets quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Qualifications
  • Strong proficiency in aircraft maintenance and aircraft systems, with experience working on corporate or private jets.
  • Hands‑on expertise with power plant components, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of airworthiness standards and regulations, and the ability to apply them to aircraft inspection and release to service.
  • Understanding of overall aircraft operations, documentation, and maintenance record‑keeping to support compliance and safety.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate or equivalent recognized credential.
  • Relevant experience in a Part 135 or Part 91 environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, maintenance documents, and engineering drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, based on operational needs.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and continuous professional development in aviation maintenance.
