Marvin is seeking a Controls Technician to support safe, reliable operation of automated manufacturing equipment for our premium window and door production. In this hands-on role, you will troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and VFDs; perform preventive and corrective maintenance; and help improve equipment performance and uptime. You'll collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams in a people-first, safety-focused environment that values craftsmanship, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair PLC, HMI, sensor, and VFD issues on production equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated manufacturing systems
- Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics and control drawings
- Support root cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams on improvements
- Configure and maintain instrumentation, control devices, and industrial networks
- Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and electrical safety practices
- Document work performed and maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records
Required Skills
- PLC programming and troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or similar)
- HMI configuration and diagnostics
- Industrial electrical systems (480
- V, control panels, schematics)
- VFD setup and tuning
- Instrumentation and sensors (pressure, temperature, position)
- Industrial networking and fieldbus (Ether
- Net/IP, Modbus)
- Preventive and predictive maintenance
- Reading and updating electrical drawings
- Root cause analysis of equipment downtime
- Safety standards and lockout/tagout (LOTO)
