Job Type- Part time PRN, Full time PRN Coverage Needed: 7a-3:30p 3p-11:30p 11p-7:30a 7a-7p 7p-7a
- $20–$24 per hour, dependent upon education/experience
- Location:
North Kansas City, KS or Olathe, KS (2 locations) - Training:
One week of paid on‑the‑job training provided; must attend 6‑day training over a 2‑week timeframe
- Provide compassionate care and supervision of children and youth.
- Support young people in achieving treatment goals through daily activities, teaching coping techniques and positive behavior skills.
- Work closely with nurses and therapists to reinforce treatment plans, document client activity, and maintain a safe environment.
- Supervise youth at all times to ensure basic needs are met and assist youth through completion of daily responsibilities, activities and living skills.
- Engage and build relationships with youth, support emotional needs, and teach new social skills.
- Perform essential job duties satisfactorily under reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
- Stand, walk, talk, hear, taste, or smell regularly while performing the duties of this job.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl frequently.
- Sit occasionally.
- Lifting and moving: up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Vision: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited high school;
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Social Services, Psychology, Sociology, or Human Services Education preferred. - Six months to one year of related experience and/or training with mental health or at‑risk youth (preferred).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
