Case Manager Floater

The Case Manager – Floater provides therapy and case management services to children and families in order to facilitate safety, permanency, and well-being.

Hybrid work schedule:3 days in-office

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a field licensable by the KS BSRB
• Previous experience working with children and family services is preferred.

• Licensure by the Kansas BSRB
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.

• Direct Clinical & In-Home Support:
  Provide in-home services, facilitate crisis intervention, and complete required therapy hours to support child and family stability.
• Case Management & Planning:
  Organize case planning conferences, develop safety and aftercare plans, and coordinate reintegration, adoption, or independent living services.
• Assessment & Evaluation:
  Conduct comprehensive assessments of family functioning, complete child social histories, and perform home studies for relative, kinship, and adoption placements.
• Legal & Court Representation:
  Prepare detailed court reports, complete all court-ordered tasks, and provide expert testimony in hearings and termination of parental rights trials.
• Supervision & Advocacy:
  Manage parent/child and sibling visits, maintain regular contact with all parties, and attend school-related meetings for the children.
• Resource Coordination:
  
  Assist families in accessing community resources—including housing, utilities, and mental/physical healthcare and provide necessary service referrals.
• Administrative Oversight:
  
  Maintain thorough documentation of all client and collateral contacts, manage client files, and facilitate communication between foster homes, DCF, and the courts.
• Professional Leadership:
  Represent the organization at external meetings, consult with case management staff, and maintain the flexibility to support multiple counties or specialized area needs.
