Head Coach, Women's Basketball

Butler Community College is seeking a Head Women’s Basketball Coach and be part of a winning team! This leadership role is central to shaping a competitive, student‑centered program that aligns with National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) regulations and Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) requirements.

The ideal candidate will empower student‑athletes to excel—athletically, academically, and personally—while fostering a culture of integrity, discipline, and growth. The Head Coach will play a pivotal role in advancing the program’s excellence by leading efforts in recruiting driven student‑athletes, building a strong and cohesive team environment, and developing strategies that promote continuous improvement and competitive success.

Responsibilities also include scheduling, planning, organizing, budgeting, and representing Butler Community College athletics with pride and professionalism.

• Working knowledge of basketball.
• Able to work a variable schedule to meet operational needs.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Able to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• At least 5 years experience as a basketball coach.
• Experience as a player in the sport is preferred.
• Experience in prevention and care of athletic injuries.

Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s Degree preferred.
