Utility Worker

Transdev in Olathe, Kansas is hiring a Utility Worker – Bus Fueler/Cleaner. This employee is required to perform basic vehicle servicing duties. We are looking for customer service–oriented professionals who are dedicated to safety.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $18.50 – maximum $23.00

• Vacation: 1 week after 1 year
• Sick days: 5 days per year
• Holidays: 12 days (8 standard and 4 floating)

• Monday through Friday: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Shift assignment may vary based on operational needs.

• Maintain the cleanliness of fleet vehicles – interior and exterior
• Driving, maneuvering, and parking vehicles
• Fueling buses, replenishing fluids, and logging and recording all fluids
• Downloading drive cameras & probes fare boxes
• Perform light maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, and related facilities
• Report maintenance issues to supervisor
• Other duties as required

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to obtain a Class B CDL with air brake & passenger endorsement
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years
• Must be able to work shifts flexible work schedules as needed
• Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason

• Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions – 100% of the job is performed outdoors, work alone and in remote locations
• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
• Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise

• Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (if based in the U.S.)
• Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen
