Overview
Drive for a company striving to be the world’s most caring distribution company that serves Chick-fil-A restaurants through safety, care and excellence. As a CDL A driver at Chick-fil-A Supply in Olathe, KS
, you’ll deliver to Chick-fil-A restaurants using state-of-the-art equipment with a focus on safety and service.
- Make safe, timely deliveries within established restaurant delivery windows
- Unload and stage product at 4–6 restaurants per shift
- Complete all pickup and returns (e.g., pallets, carts) from restaurants and submit paperwork properly
- Assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment upon return to the distribution center
Location:
16521 S. Erickson St, Olathe, KS 66062
- Schedule:
Sunday through Friday - Two consecutive nights off every week, and Saturday off for all drivers
- Generally 40–45+ hours per week based on routes and restaurants served
- Guaranteed minimum 40-hour pay between $1,577 to $1,865 per week based on driving experience
- Overtime paid for hours over 40 per week
- Benefits include food and drinks provided; various health, retirement, and education options; PTO and holidays
- Operate with state-of-the-art equipment and resources, including tractors, trailers, power pallets, Samsara devices, and in-house maintenance
- Chick-fil-A Supply onsite mechanics provide maintenance support
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance issues
- Operate within hours-of-service limits using electronic logging (ELD)
- Maintain an acceptable CSA record
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and DVIR reporting
- Maintain vehicle registrations, permits, insurance, IFTA, and other required documents
- Follow FSMA safety policies for safe food transport
- Maintain acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT requirements
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED) - Driving
Experience:
1+ years tractor/trailer experience - DOT and Company Policy Requirements
- Meet all DOT (FMCSA) requirements
- Live within 60 miles of the distribution center at the time of hire
- At least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL License from the state of residence
- Complete a DOT Clearing House application
- Pass MVR, drug test, and background check
- No preventable DOT recordable accidents in the past 3 years
- No more than two of the same type of moving violations in the last 3 years; no more than three moving violations in the past 3 years; no DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
- Extreme temperatures (-10 F to 100
F) to maintain food safety; work in all weather conditions, usually at night - Ability to lift up to 65 pounds per case; occasional movement of up to 2,000 pounds with mechanical assistance
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) to follow instructions and complete paperwork
- Travel: up to 5% for operator/market visits, supplier visits, and related conferences
- Schedule flexibility required on weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- You will be a great addition if you are a safe, professional driver with customer-service experience in food service deliveries and a CDL A license
