The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for translating operational needs into logistical actions while mitigating risks and ensuring data integrity throughout the supply chain. This role requires a strong understanding of various transportation modes, including LTL, FTL, and parcel, as well as expertise in shipping documentation and logistics processes. The ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination—preferably within a manufacturing environment—and is proficient in logistics or ERP systems, with experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) considered a plus.
Success in this role depends on excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, a customer‑focused mindset, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced setting. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential to ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all logistical operations.
- Education:
High School Diploma - Experience:
2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination (manufacturing experience preferred). - Travel: up to 25% depending on business needs
- Work Schedule:
This position works between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
- Coordinate the inbound and outbound flow of goods, materials, and equipment between suppliers, internal departments, and end customers.
- Partner with transportation providers to schedule shipments, ensure timely pickups/deliveries, and resolve logistics issues as they arise.
- Monitor real‑time tracking of shipments and proactively communicate progress, changes, or delays to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departments such as production, sales, and distribution to align logistics with operational needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, freight costs, inventory, and other key logistics data.
- Prepare detailed reports for management regarding shipping performance, costs, and process improvement opportunities.
- Troubleshoot logistics issues such as shipment delays, damaged goods, or vendor disruptions, ensuring timely resolution.
Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external partners, fostering clear and consistent communication. - Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
