What is a Boom Truck Driver?
Our Boom Truck Drivers will be responsible for delivering and setting steel beams and columns in an efficient and timely manner for builders of new construction residential houses using a straight truck with air brakes and a minimum 90' 23-ton stick boom. Ensure we meet or exceed our customer's expectations.

Delivering, setting and welding steel beams and columns in an efficient and timely manner for builders of new construction residential houses using a straight truck with air brakes and a minimum 90' 23-ton stick boom. Ensure we meet or exceed our customer's expectations.
What can you expect from the job?
- $27/hr, with higher pay based on experience
- Sign on bonus $3,000 paid ½ after 30 days and the other half after 60 days
- On-the-job training
- 8:00 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday - Weekly pay
- Regular exposure to moving mechanical or machinery parts
- Moderately stressful and constantly changing work environment
- Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of material up to 51lbs
- Inspect truck before and after each trip
- Load and unload steel beams and columns on the boom truck
- Safely operate a boom truck
- Set beams in place using a straight boom truck crane
- Properly track and document activity log
- Report any issues or incidents to dispatch
- Fill out necessary paperwork, daily log report, overage, shortage and damage form, etc.
- Maintain inventory of tools for assigned truck.
- Keeping truck, toolboxes clean and organized
- Working on a jobsite, in a yard or warehouse facility within OSHA guidelines; conditions may be heated and/or unheated, dusty and noisy; steel-toed boots required daily.
- Fast-paced moderately stressful, constantly changing day to day work environment
- Job is performed under some temperature extremes
- Ability to stand, walk, or be mobile for up to eight hours per shift. Capable of ascending and descending boom trucks and ladders at jobsite.
- Ability to lift up to 51 pounds as needed. Pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 pounds
- Wear proper PPE at all times (as described in company policy)
- Starting pay of $27/hr, with higher pay based on experience
- Sign on bonus $3,000 paid ½ after 30 days and the other half after 60 days

- Previous experience in truck driving or other related fields
- Commercial driver's license (Class B CDL W/Airbrakes).
- Experience running a boom

- Experience running a boom truck
- Welding, torch cutting and operating a forklift are a plus.
