Overview
Driver/Operator – We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Bus Driver to join our team in Olathe, KS. You will be entrusted with ensuring safe and comfortable transportation for passengers, while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Compensation and Benefits- Pay range: $26.62 – $30.10 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Scale)
- Starting pay $26.62 with progression to $30.10 over 4 years
- $3,000 Sign-On Bonus
- Benefits include:
- Vacation: after 1 year of service
- Paid Training to obtain a Class B CDL (Class B CDL permit offered)
- Paid Sick Leave: 4 days every January 1

- Safety-Focused Operations:
Follow designated routes and schedules, adhere to safety protocols and traffic regulations - Passenger Care:
Assist passengers, ensure smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation - Vehicle Vigilance:
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report maintenance issues; maintain cleanliness and safety equipment readiness - Adherence to Protocols:
Enforce seat belt policy, emergency preparedness, and regulatory compliance - Other duties as required
- 21 years or older
- Valid CDL (or permit);
Class A or B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements required (training available for permit holders) - Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional)
- Excellent communication & customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts
- Subject to DOT drug testing and medical examination as applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 prohibits Schedule I drug use
- Work outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions
- Sit for extended periods; stand or walk as needed; push/pull up to 50 pounds; lift up to 50 pounds; bend, kneel, or crouch as needed
- Able to work in high-traffic areas and tolerate dust, vehicle fumes and noise
